Overview

The plan to organize Northern Freegold Resources Ltd. (NFR) was conceived during a meeting held in Whitehorse in November 2005 between Bill Harris and Tim Termuende. Bill had indicated that he had taken advantage of the severe bear market conditions over the past decade and assembled a very impressive land position in the Mt. Freegold area of south-central Yukon. The land package includes claims staked over the last 80 years by Bill, his father, and the original discoverer of gold on Freegold Mountain. These claims cover zones of mineralization that host established inferred gold resources. The decision was made to form a new company, acquire adjacent property and invite the public to participate in development of the consolidated property.

With the entire land package intact, it is estimated that upon listing on the TSX-V, NFR is starting with a total of 700,000 ounces gold (non 43-101 compliant) outlined as an inferred resource. The potential to expand this resource is considered to be excellent.

Management

In order to achieve success in the junior mining industry it is important to have projects of merit, but it is even more important to have a strong management team. Northern Freegold Resources Ltd. has demonstrated a sincere understanding of this concept by selecting a diverse collection of technical experts and corporate management with great depth of experience to round out a top tier team that will proactively advance the company at all levels.

The road accessible project is a four hour drive from Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon. The project is located within the Dawson Range portion of the Tintina Gold Belt which constitutes an arcuate belt extending from Donlin Creek in Alaska, through the Fairbanks District, the Pogo Deposit and across the Yukon border where it incorporates such deposits as the past producing Brewery Creek Mine and Dublin Gulch

Mineralization and alteration within the Freegold Mountain Project is associated with mid to late Cretaceous intrusive bodies and associated adjacent epithermal vein and breccia systems. The district includes several past producing mines. Several of the known low grade gold-copper-silver resources in the project area and on the property are amenable to heap leach mining due to deep oxidization resulting from the lack of laciation in the region.

Active projects within the Dawson Range properties include the Minto project of Sherwood Copper, which commenced production in July of 2007; as well as the Carmacks Copper project which is in the permitting stage and the Casino project, both held by Western Copper.

In order to complement the seasonal work at the Mt. Freegold Project, Northern Freegold recently acquired the Burro Creek Gold/Silver Property located in Mohave County, Arizona, U.S.A. The deposit model for the property is the bulk-mineable and bonanza type low sulphidation epithermal gold-silver model. Examples include the El Penon Mine of Meridian Minerals in Chile and the Midas Mine of Newmont in Nevada. The historical resource on the property (2.6 million tons grading 0.03 oz/t gold and 1.1 oz/t silver) was calculated from <20% of the existing 1.7 km long vein system. There is excellent potential to expand the resource as well as to discover additional deposits within the vein system. The property was fully permitted for production in the mid 1980s, yet did not go into production due to declining metal prices. Infrastructure (highway and power) are within 2km, and the agreement also includes the water rights on the property. Higher grade values have been returned from the epithermal vein system, including 10.7 m of 0.16 oz/ton gold and 5.36 oz/ton silver.
